2600 Magazine presents The Next HOPE, the eighth conference in the 16 year history of the Hackers On Planet Earth series. It will happen at the Hotel Pennsylvania in the middle of New York City from July 16-18, 2010, and will be the largest creative technology conference on the U.S. East Coast.

Want to help out?

Our volunteers have made all of the Hope conferences possible. Without their support, we never would be able to run a conference of this quality for anywhere near the admission price. You too can be one of them and enhance your conference experience at the same time. Volunteers interact with attendees, speakers, and other volunteers and often make friends and establish contacts that can last a lifetime.

There are all sorts of jobs that we’ll be needing help with this year. They include:

• NETWORK OPERATIONS
• STREAMING MEDIA
• INFORMATION DESK
• RADIO STATLER!
• LOAD IN AND LOAD OUT

Undoubtedly there will be more that come up, both before and during the conference. If you have a particular skill or interest and would like to get involved, or are completely unskilled and have no direction in life, just email volunteers@hope.net and someone will get back to you in a few days.

While you won’t get free admission as a volunteer, you will get an exclusive Next Hope volunteer shirt as our thanks for helping out. Volunteers who pull extended shifts and distinguish themselves to the conference staff may qualify for additional rewards.
